Late in the fall I was able to visit the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum in Washington, DC. The history of both are explained nicely in the exhibits and the quality of the plants and landscapes on exhibit are amazing. Some examples here. Keep in mind that all the deciduous tree were already bare so they would be even more spectacular in the spring and early fall.
